Grameen Koota, a division of GFSPL, began in May 1999 as a project under the T. Muniswamappa Trust. Grameen Koota adapted Grameen Bank's group lending methodology, and offers collateral-free loans to women from poor and low-income households. These loans help the clients raise their standard of living and consequently help break themselves and their families out of poverty.
