Aavishkaar Goodwell

Aavishkaar Goodwell is a for-profit business development company that provides equity finance and hands-on support to entrepreneurial microfinance organizations in India on a socially and commercially sustainable basis.

Aavishkaar Goodwell aims to improve access to affordable financial services for millions of families in order to contribute to poverty alleviation and sustainable development. The organization does this by developing and scaling up entrepreneurial microfinance organizations in India and integrating them into the mainstream financial sector. Aavishkaar Goodwell aims to realize "benefits of scale": a substantial social impact and an attractive financial return.

Aavishkaar Goodwell is backed by private sector and public sector investors. The organization is building a portfolio of USD 25 million of smart capital investments in 30-40 start ups and 8-10 fast growing MFIs. Aavishkaar Goodwell India Microfinance Development Company is a business development company, which invests in microfinance institutions in India. Aavishkaar Goodwell was initiated by an Indian-Dutch joint venture and founded in 2006.

Microventures

MicroVentures are a private equity initiative specialized in the development of financial partnerships with Microfinance Institutions (MFIs). MicroVentures provide financial resources to partner institutions through the direct participation into their equity, disbursing loans or through hybrid instruments (subordinated and convertible debts, equity and quasi-equity. MicroVentures’ investments are primarily targeted towards promising, well-managed and well-performing MFIs who are seeking to establish long term financial partnerships.

After each investment, MicroVentures backs the entrepreneurial development of partner MFIs during their growth and consolidation phases. In some cases, where appropriate and agreed, MicroVentures plays also an active role as key shareholder in the underlying businesses, contributing to the strategic development of the MFIs.

The MicroVentures Network is spread over three continents and is active in providing financial products, as well as technical assistance and support to institutions focusing on market-based solutions for social development.

Incofin

A specialized microfinance fund management company, Incofin Investment Management (IIM) invests in microfinance institutions that help enterprising people to set up their own business and thus get a chance to improve their living conditions.

Shriram Life Insurance is a joint venture of the Shriram Group of India and SANLAM of South Africa. Oriental Insurance Company was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oriental Government Security Life Assurance Company Ltd. and was formed to carry out General Insurance business. The company with its head Office at New Delhi has 26 Regional Offices and nearly 900+ operating Offices in various cities of the country. The Company has overseas operations in Nepal, Kuwait and Dubai.

United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) is a leading General Insurance Company of India. The company has more than three decades of experience in Non-life Insurance business. It was formed by the merger of 22 companies, consequent to the nationalisation of General Insurance companies in India. Its Head Quarters is at Chennai, India.

Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited (Tata AIG General) is a joint venture company, formed by the Tata Group and American International Group, Inc. (AIG). It offers a complete range of general insurance products including insurance for automobile, home, personal accident, travel, energy, marine, property and casualty as well as several specialized financial lines.

Max New York Life Insurance Company Ltd. is a joint venture between Max India Ltd., one of India's leading multi-business corporations and New York Life International, the international arm of New York Life, a Fortune 100 company. Max New York Life Insurance now has 25 individual life and health insurance products and 8 riders enabling customers to choose the policy that best fits their need.

SBI Life Insurance is a joint venture between the BNP Paribas Assurance and State Bank of India where 26% is owned by PNB Paribas Assurance and SBI owns 74% of the entire capital. SBI has over 14,500 branches across the nation along with its associate banks.

Grameen Global Network (GGN)

The Grameen Trust (GT) was set up in 1989 with a commitment to work for poverty alleviation towards eventual poverty eradication in all areas of the world. The Grameen Global Network (GGN), coordinated by the Grameen Trust in Bangladesh, seeks mainly to develop a common approach and conceptual framework, through mutual sharing of experiences and dissemination of information, for the implementation of effective and sustainable credit and savings programs for the poorest of the poor, especially women, following the Grameen approach.

Microfinance Institutions Network

Micro Finance Institutions Network (MFIN) is the premier Industry Association for the microfinance sector in India and its member organizations constitute the leading NBFC-Microfinance institutions in the country. MFIN was created to promote the key objectives of microfinance, which is to help economically underserved communities achieve greater financial independence and build sustainable livelihoods.

AKMi

Association of Karnataka Microfinance Institutions (AKMI) started in 2006 to build the field of community development finance in Karnataka, to help its members and associate institutions to better serve low-income households, particularly women, in both rural and urban areas of Karnataka, in their quest for establishing stable livelihoods and improving their quality of life.

Sa-Dhan

Sa-Dhan is a Microfinance Network in India. Sa-Dhan's mission is to "build the field of community development finance in India, to help its member and associate institutions to better serve low income households, particularly women, in both rural and urban India, in their quest for establishing stable livelihoods and improving their quality of life.
