We, as a socially and financially responsible organization, aim at holistic and integral progress and upliftment of the poor. Our activities are client oriented and we are determined to make a qualitative difference in our clients' lives with tangible results on a time bound basis. For this purpose, we mainly employ the tool named Progress out of Poverty Index (PPI).
Progress out of Poverty Index (PPI)
PPI is a 'monitor and improve' program which helps us to track our clients’ movement out of poverty and the success rate of our poverty eradication programs. We calculate it by collecting data from our clients. GFSPL has collected PPI scores from over 300,000 clients in the last two years. More than 60,000 of these clients now have at least two PPI scores, and around 4000 have three, which allow us to track our clients’ movement out of poverty. It helps us in two ways. First, the data is representative of our clients at the regional and branch levels and so we can set targets based on this information. Second, the data also shows various client characteristics such as urban/rural location, branch affiliation etc., and so we can tailor our products and services to our clients’ needs.
